Private Music Lessons in Land O' Lakes, FL

by Adalyn Manzi

Ages 3-18 any skill level

Learn to play the violin, piano, guitar, cello, voice, or viola

I believe that music tells stories.

Music connects people who are continents, cultures, and centuries apart. Since the beginning of history, humans have been sharing their life stories, struggles, emotions, and dreams with each other through music. I myself have used it as a tool to share my stories with others. Using music as a form of storytelling is a big part of my teaching strategy. I cater to each individual student’s unique personality and learning styles as I do this.

I fell in love with music at a young age. Music absolutely helped me as a child in incredible ways, including growing my self-confidence, regulating my emotions, and learning to problem-solve effectively (scroll down to see research on this!). My dream since middle school has been to share the gift of playing an instrument with others, and now I share the gift full-time!

Your child will learn:
  • Instrument Proficiency
  • Music Theory
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Creative Composing
  • Active Musical Listening
  • Self-Expression and Musicality

We hold 2-3 recitals a year, along with multiple small performance opportunities at nursing homes and other events. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to grow confidence, showcase their talents, and have a tangible reward for their hard work.

My Education

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in Biblical Literature. During my time at college, I took multiple general education courses and all of the music education courses offered until I decided to change my major from Music Education to Music. I was taught a basic proficiency in all woodwinds, voice, brass, percussion, and conducting, as well as a high proficiency in strings and piano. I have taught both in the school setting and one-on-one. I was awarded strings, piano, and general music scholarships at Florida College. I was twice awarded the Academic Award in Music Education and twice awarded the Excellence in Strings award at Florida College.

My Experience

I have played violin for over 13 years and piano for as long as I can remember. I am currently a violinist in the Dade City Symphony. I have been a part of several orchestras and small ensembles, including all-region, SFASU prep orchestra, and the Florida College string ensemble as concertmaster. I have performed in weddings, musicals, tea parties, recitals, concerts, and more!

I have years of experience in teaching instrumental music lessons to children and adults alike. I have taught over 50 individuals throughout my high school and college years. I have been teaching professionally for 2 years.
